So, yes, it's almost February and months have passed since my last post. I feel like I have a kid that grows at the speed of light, and it's hard to catch a break, especially with a new job (more details later!). Coda started "that" big (see picture above) and he quickly got to "this" big (picture much below, in the same bed). This bed is Jelly Bean's bed, who still doesn't like him very much because she's 16 and can't believe that we brought home a monster like this one!

Coda e io in Forest Park.

In one of the rare "tired" moments, Coda and Jelly can actually sleep near each other. Jelly is on alert, though, just in case Coda decides to wake up suddenly and jump around! Emily took the picture of me and Coda in Forest Park, above.

Cutie pie, right? yeah, right... for ten minutes! Coda is very pretty, shiny, black, sleek and smiley most of the times. Although I feel like I don't know what I'm doing 99% of the times and I'm wondering what I got myself into, I couldn't have imagined a better dog. He has tons of energy and crazy drive, but it's a pleasure to see him never giving up in SAR training or when he's finding something in nosework classes.

I bought the hippo below at Fred Meyer and I knew it wasn't going to last more than 10 minutes. I think we made it to five, but it was worth the five entertaining minutes we got! And Coda was actually very good to Walter, our Christmas tree (above). No ornaments were damaged in the process!
